Memorial Day Weekend 2012

The Veterans of Foreign Wars is holding the 46th Annual North Highlands Antelope Community Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. Monday.

California Veterans will have the opportunity to receive free eye exams, glasses and assessments for diabetes between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary will hold a Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. Monday.

As we remember all of the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and its citizens, I want to extend this prayer to all of the men and women who continue to keep our country safe and keep our freedom a reality.
