The holiday tree in front of our City hall stands tall and bright even though storms caused the annual West Sacramento Christmas tree lighting party to be cancelled this year.

The Hagginwood Community Center will host a Seniors Holiday Potluck tomorrow, December 13 from 11am - 1pm. Guests are invited to bring their favorite dish. Bingo is scheduled to be played! For more information, call 916-808-6439.

Persimmon season is booming - literally. Our backyard Fuyu is fully loaded. We picked about 60 pounds of fruit, many as big as heirloom tomatoes. (Here's a photo of one big cluster.) There are many more near the top of the tree, out of reach. But not...
