45 Journal

45 Journal 45journal began two years ago as a way for me to practice photography. I was just finishing a series of photography classes, and was inspired by two books by National Geographic nature and wildlife photographer, Jim Brandenburg. In Chased by the Light and Looking for summer Brandenburg took a photo a day for a season. And in fact, in Chased by the Light he only took one photo each day, which is amazing to me! This was supposed to be a one year project, where I would post a photo each day, and the photo had to be taken that day. I made it about six months before really burning out. After a six month break I came back to try again. Now I allow myself to skip days, and also to post a photo that wasn't taken on the day it posts. This format works really well for me, and I LOVE posting again. My goal is to continue to improve my photography skills, and to document the happenings in my daily life. And mainly to create a creative and interesting photo for my viewers each day. Hope you enjoy!

Every Saturday I pick up my farm fresh eggs out off of County Road 96.  I leave the empty cartons in a cooler during the week, and on Saturday I pick up my eggs and leave my money.  Some mornings my eggs are looking back at me in surprise.
