Women’s tennis wins pair of matches to earn 2-0 record in Big Sky Conference play

After losing its historic streak last season, the women’s tennis program at Sacramento State headed on the road for a two-match trip against Big Sky Conference competition in Cheney, Washington. In 2014, the Hornets lost their 112 consecutive wins record, but started a new one in the championship last season.

After last week's win against Portland State, Sacramento State women's basketball fell short against Eastern Washington University on Thursday, Feb. 12 in a competitive matchup in the Hornets Nest. The women were defeated by the Eagles by one point, 80-79, handing them their second consecutive loss.

ASU sweeps Sac State women’s tennis 7-0

In the final match of their two-day road trip to Tucson, Arizona, Sacramento State's women’s tennis team (1-4) faced a tall order when they competed against No. 36 University of Arizona (3-0) on Sunday. The women were swept by the Wildcats with a final score of 7-0.

The Hornets' number three doubles pairing of junior Niranjan Ram and freshman Kasparas Zemaitelis scored three match points Sunday, defeating Cal Poly by a final of 4-1.
