Above is a close look at the gates of the Sacramento Weir just north of West Sacramento on the River Road. The weir gates are opened to divert water into the Yolo Bypass once the Sacramento River hits the 27.5 foot stage at the  I Street Bridge.

Returning to West Sacramento from Woodland on the Old River Road we crossed the tracks at the Kiesel Crossing. Just before the tracks sits this old pump building.
