The driver of the FedEx truck that veered into a bus carrying high schoolers near Orland Thursday was a family man, sports fan and loved life, a family member told The Sacramento Bee on Saturday. Elk Grove Police to Conduct DUI Checkpoint This Weekend

Elk Grove Police announced today that a DUI-drivers license checkpoint will be conducted this weekend.

The checkpoint will be conducted Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m Sunday at an undisclosed location within city limits. The checkpoint will focus on removing impaired drivers, as well as unlicensed drivers from the roadways.
