Margaret Duarte

Margaret Duarte I am the daughter of Dutch immigrants, a dairy farmer's wife, a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, and a writer. During the past eleven years, I have completed four novels of upmarket fiction and earned a creative writing certificate through UC Davis Extension. Now, I'm in the process of seeking publication. After graduating from Sacramento State College with a BA in English and a secondary teaching credential, I married the farmer next door. Over the next 30 years, I helped out on the farm, taught school, crafted ceramics, and raised two sons. Then finally I returned to what my high school and college teachers had encouraged me to pursue--writing.
