Welcome to Sacramento Connect, a network of local blogs and community news from the Sacramento region in partnership with The Sacramento Bee.
What it is: Sacramento Connect was formed by The Sacramento Bee in March 2010. Sacramento Connect does what it says–it connects you to the local and state content you want. And it connects you with others about the news that’s being shared. For members, we help the voices of independent bloggers and content creators be heard.
Who we are: The Sacramento Bee is owned by McClatchy Company and is a news and information resource for Northern California. We are joining with sites with some of the region’s most interesting and entertaining content, from California politics to local community information. Here’s a list of our current partners.
How it works: The network’s software links, sorts and recommends content to tailor it to your interests. For example, if you are reading a story about the the California governor on the network, clicking the “more stories” button on the toolbar will give you content, based on topic matching, you’ll also find interesting. And you can drag and drop content you want to share easily right on any site on the network with your friends, through email or your favorite social networking site.
