What it is: Sacramento Connect was launched by The Sacramento Bee in March 2010. It was formed to help connect readers to local content. For our partners, Sacramento Connect helps the voices of independent bloggers and content creators be heard.
Who we are: The Sacramento Bee is owned by McClatchy Company and is a news and information resource for Northern California. We are joining with sites with some of the region’s most interesting and entertaining content, from California politics to local community information. Here’s a list of our current partners.
How it works: The Sacramento Connect website sorts and organizes content from our partners. Excerpts from the collected stories can be found on Sacramentoconnect.com, and also on Sacramento Connect widgets on The Sacramento Bee’s website. For example, posts from local mom bloggers can be seen in the Sacramento Connect widget on Sac Moms Club, and posts from local food bloggers can be seen in the widget on the Food & Wine page.
