Atticus
We are sad to announce that Atticus Finch Alberti, best dog friend and creative muse of blogger Heidi Alberti, died earlier this week.
Heidi’s blog, Atticus Uncensored, pondered the world from Atticus’s perspective and looked at issues of social justice, equallity, animal welfare, health, philanthropy, environmentalism and more. Most recently, Atticus walked in parades and stood with the protesters of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Atticus, an English Cocker Spaniel, was born in Victoria, BC, Canada, and had turned 6 in August.Heidi and Atticus became part of the Sacramento Connect blogging community in July 2010. Atticus Uncensored has 1,879 followers on Twitter and the blog has devoted readers from all over the world.
There have been numerous online tributes to Atticus (see below). Pet lovers and readers of the blog are invited to post a comment on the Sac Paws Facebook page or on the Atticus Uncensored Facebook page.
Although we are sad the blog has lost its muse, we are also sad that Heidi, and her other dog, Wilbur, have lost their best friend. Atticus will be missed by all of us.
