Work to begin on Highway 16 near Rancho Murieta

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that on Monday, June 6 work will begin on a $510,400 project to widen shoulders, resurface and restripe a stretch of State Highway 16 near Rancho
Murieta from one mile east of Meiss Road to a 1/2 mile west of Dillard Road.

Motorists can expect east and westbound traffic delays of up to 10 minutes due to lane restrictions and traffic control from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday – Friday from June 6 through August 12. Please be advised this schedule is subject to change to include weekends as well. Construction is scheduled for completion by October 2011.
